June is here, so that brings a new hostess over at CCEE Stampers. This month it's Benzi (Brenda) who has some fun challenges lined up.
To start off with, she's challenging us to use the Direct to Paper tutorial here at SCS.
Well, I do remember trying this before, and deciding that distress pinks are a bit narrow and hard to use, but a challenge is all about stretching and learning, so I had another go and was happy enough with how this one turned out. I still think that it's hard to see what you're doing with distress pads, though , but the other odds-and-ends full size pads I have didn't match.
A2 white base embossed with Kassie's Brocade.
I used Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky, then stamped Penny Black's Quite Dandy with black. I also swiped the ink pads on scrap paper and punched out a circle from each colour. Image matted on black, circles have edges very lightly sponged with a black ink pad.
If you give the tutorial a try, be sure to link back on the CCEE blog . When you see some of the lovely creations the rest of the team have made, you'll want to have a go!

Sabrina, this is gorgeous. I love all the white making your main panel really pop. Great colors used and good idea with the matching brads.

You did a great job on the background - it doesn't look like it was too much of a challenge for you. I love the addition of the three little matching circles.

Very effective, indeed! I haven't used that technique in such a long time and I love how it is such a wonderful backdrop to your pretty flowers, Sabrina!
