For Jeanne's MixAbility challenge to paint a shape and doodle round it, and also for the current ODBD stamps and any dies challenge over at ODBD. This sees me caught up with my May quota of Christmas cards. Initially when I read Jeanne's challenge this morning I was thinking in terms of flowers, but on the bus ride into work this card came into my mind.
A2 pearlescent silver base - it's a very dull day here and I have too much on to spend longer trying to capture it.
Main layer - I stamped the ODBD snowflake backgrounder with Versamark and embossed with white EP. Then I misted the paper and washed it with 3 different colours of H2Os. Snowman shape painted on with white acrylic, and I used a black Sharpie for the doodling. I added some white Flower Soft along the bottom, but the glue picked up the blues from the base. I still think it works, though. The eyes and buttons are Liquid Pearls, the hat was a late addition after the first couple of photos, and is just cut from a scrap of black card. Sentiment is from Cardinal Christmas cut with Spellbinders Tags Trio and tied with twine, and the little bird is Memory Box.

I have to say I was wondering if I'd got caught in the SCS time machine and been hurtled backwards when this card came up and it was a Christmas card! Sitting here in the 95 degree heat of almost June! But it is a really adorable card! Love all the sparkly-ness (know what you mean about struggling to get it photographed right), and looking at it cooled me off!
