I considered using some premade pocket cards for my daughter’s wedding invitations, but they were expensive and I was concerned about weight since some stampers had posted that they may require extra postage. I found this beautiful cardstock on sale at clearbags.com I love the shimmer of the pearlescent lime and pearlescent lavender cardstock and envelopes. I decided to create my own pocket cards by using a sealed envelope cut in half. I was able to open one side seam and then refold and tape it to fit across the bottom. I just adhered the envelope on the back of the card and viola! I taped two embossing folders together (cuttlebug “with love” set) to emboss the pocket. I embellished with butterflies that I punched using SU butterfly punch. For the front the velum butterfly didn’t show up, so I decided to first emboss the vellum with a Swiss dots folder before punching. I used some Offray Rhinestones to add a little bling. I found 240 for only $1.50 at Wal-Mart in the fabric department.
