for the challenge using watercolor...this is done with the SU wc crayons... I had a picture in mind but this didn't turn out as 'cheery' as I wanted.. it's too dreary to me (intended for a friend who has cancer)... :-|
so, it's done on wc paper color in partially with the crayons then using the waterbrush to drag the color around...then used marvy embossing markers to highlight areas and embossed...cut out the scene and mounted on a cloud piece done with pastels and cloud temp. but used the waterbrush to drag the colors around a bit...oh, and filled in some more rocks and sea grass with misc stamps
verse is embossed

very nice. I don't think that it is too dreary. I thought of it as the colors coming thru after a storm, which would be very appropriate for your friend.

awesome card, so beautiful... it's not dreary, it's perfect for ocean scenes and the soft, soothing colors... I wish I was this creative!
------------------------------ No, the picture is not my child, it's little me when I was 2. I'm dreaming of being at the lake

Dawn, This is beautiful. It looks like a storm is coming in. Your coloring is beautiful and I love how you cut the scene out and placed it over that gorgeous sky. Wonderful coloring.
