I took advantage of today's colors to use my new Taylored Expressions Birch Tree dies. The BG was created by applying distress inks to a craft sheet, spritzing with water, laying the white cardstock on it, drying with a heat gun and then using the ink blending tool to darken the sunset colors, as they were too pale. The distress inks I used were broken china, wild honey, spiced marmalade and fired brick. The birch trees were diecut with the Birch Tree cutting plate, out of early espresso and the signpost was diecut with the Birch Tree accessories die, out of cherry cobbler. The PTI sentiment was stamped with early espresso. I'm so pleased with the card and that I now have a way of creating some very special masculine cards with my new dies!
