One of the reasons the color challenge has always been a favorite of mine is because I get stretched! I tend to reach for earthy, natural tones more often than not, but when I use the combos our great team comes up with, I'm always glad I tried something new. This week Peggy picked colors involved in Stampin' Up's Color Renovation-two that are leaving: Regal Rose and Certainly Celery, and one that is returning: Bermuda Bay. Our dessert is to use: Words of Wisdom, Encouragement, or Best Wishes. I chose the first. (Side thought-I read a book a while back by Ann Voskamp called 1000 Gifts which was all about cultivating a heart of gratitude and it has been life-changing!)
I really love these stamp sets: Summer Silhouettes that is sticking around, and Pursuit of Happiness, a set of sentiments that is retiring. I had to use a Bermuda Bay marker as I don't have an ink pad yet. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up my border stamping. I stamped my leaves in Celery and the flowers in Regal Rose stamped off then Rock 'N Rolled back in the Regal Rose. I used a Celery marker to add stems to connect the flowers to the leaves. I accented with pearls. I rounded the corners of the image panels and framed in Bermuda Bay, also with the corners rounded. For the card in the foreground, I inked with black, stamped off once, then used a Qtip to remove the ink from the word "heart" then used my Regal Rose marker to make it pink. I sponged Regal Rose around the punched sentiment and accented with more pearls. This is popped on dimensionals. I reversed direction with the leaves on the second card and used a base of Regal Rose with the bottom corners rounded for the card in the background, and Certainly Celery base for the card in the foreground.

Such great pains you took to achieve these two beautiful cards. And the sentiment is such a basic truth. Your results are stunning. I think I should go read AV's book. Thanks for sharing with us.
