This is for MIX15. I worked on a piece of 6x6 inch chipboard. Large scraps of hand-stamped patterned/stenciled paper and WF Distress were applied directly to the board until the whole thing was covered and then I flipped it around this way and that until it struck me as something I could make into a scene. After that it was just a process of applying more scraps and die cuts to enhance and add detail. I did add some stamps also (some flourishes in the water and the trees on the hill) and of course I stamped those three birds and cut them out to use as a focal image. Make of it what you will. I kept putting it down and proclaiming loudly to anyone within earshot that I giving up on it, but then I would come back and pick it up again, so clearly it wan't going to leave me in peace until I either finished it or set fire to it.
Thanks for looking!

Well I'm certainly glad you didn't start a fire, Rachel! This is another wonderful example of your creativity. Great scene!

Wow!!! This is a fantastic scene. It's amazing the way it sort of developed on its own. Love the vibrant colors and the various stampings, especially the burgundy mountain and trees. The white trees are a clever touch. The flourishes on the grass (or water) are perfect too. But... what I like best of all the rest are those gorgeous birds! I must put this in my favs so I will remember to make some like that. This is prize-winning art indeed!
