I have no idea what possessed me to view the sketch as a television set. I never even watch TV anymore! All I know is that I sat down hours ago and here I am. It has to be the Mucinex.
I used thin cherry wood paper and darkened it with a little ink. I used Tim Holtz's Ornamental Die to cut the middle. I stamped and embossed my cowgirl in espresso ink, colored with Copics and fussy cut her. Notice I said 'cowgirl'? Actually, it's supposed to be a cowboy. But I didn't catch it until much too late and, to be fair, he's WAY too pretty to be worth much as a cowboy, don't you think??? I used MFT die cut clouds, banner, barbed wire fence and sketched the background with watercolor pencils. I worked to stay true to every layer in the sketch and finished off with the TV 'knobs', which were the two button elements shown on the sketch. I used more 3D adhesive than a convention of Stampin Up! demonstrators hopped up on Starbucks.
