First off this card is going to my niece Liz. I'm so proud of her. She got her Masters a year ago and also got her teaching certificate. Last year with teaching jobs scarce she was only able to find a part time job. A full time job opened up for the coming year and her principal said she better apply (they really like her)..so she'll be a FT teacher this fall...oh and BTW, she's an elementary art teacher.
I tried the acrylic distress technique. It was fun but took me a bit of time. I did make 2 backgrounds so I might make another card or use it some other time. The girl is one of my photo stamps, stamped on glossy paper and then sponged with distress inks. I cut up a Cheery Lynn small flourish die to fit around the sentiment. And that gorgeous ribbon came from this incredible store Nicholas Kniel in Atlanta. It was hard to hold back..I just got a few (they weren't cheap). Fun challenge for today..got me out of my usual rut.

It always makes me happy to see the Pol Originals in the gallery! Your use of fabulous colors, wonderful die cuts and texture and AMAZING photo stamps are all just parts of your creative and inspiring style! When I look across the gallery, almost always, I know which card you made, that is such a special thing!!! Fantastic card (that little gal is one of my favorites of yours!!!)
