I wasn't entirely sure if this would count for the challenge or not. But I was inspired by the color blocking you see in some modern art.
Some of this is paper pieced with scraps from other projects and some is from just trying some different techniques. The purple and upper right panels are resist, the upper left is the glossy paper, the flower is a layered flower from K&Co and the butterfly is vellum with black embossing powder. The lower right (largest) section was white and I used the distress inks and just two Copic markers for the butterflies.

What a fabulous combination of 'odds & sods'! I love the how the colours just seem to come together and the addition of the flower is perfect! Gorgeous
