For today's Technique Challenge, it's Happy Birthday, Joan! We are to CASE a card of Joan's and/or use one of the Techniques she hosted. I chose both..first I cased Joan's The Sea card AND I used one of her challenges (TLC41 Gotta Love Circles! I used a similar ship on the sea image and the blue/white/yellow color combo and used 3 circle shapes on my card.
I inked up the image, then wiped off most of it on the right side, leaving just a hint of blue. The sentiment was stamped on top of the palest ink, then the image was die cut & edged w/ a yellow Permapaque marker. The 2 compass roses were stamped, colored w/ a yellow Copic & cut out, along w/ the anchor. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
A big Happy Birthday to Joan and thanks for all the fun challenges! Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Great idea to wipe off part of the blue and use that area for your sentiment. I love all the nautical details on this..fantastic card..and what a cute embossing folder..I hadn't seen that one.
