I created this card for a Papertrey Ink [http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capt...-114.html]Make It Monday[/url] challenge to make a card using re-inkers and blowing the ink with a straw to create an image. Well, I've been looking at this image for a few days now and finally decided it looked a bit like a celestial star burst (please forgive me if that is not a completely accurate term) and it also looks like a kind of a celebration, thus the caption.
The idea of the challenge is to use a few drops of ink from re-inkers onto cardstock and then blow on it using a straw to create a shape. I used a pearlized designer paper (not sure but it might be DCWV) and created my blown ink image on that. I added a piece of washi tape on the side and stamped the sentiment on it. I masked the washi tape and added shear shimmer spritz (very subtle) over the blown ink image. Then I added a few heat embossed stars and some twinkle stars then matted the image. I added a strip of cardstock onto the card base for a bit of interest. I tried stamping on the strip and also pressure embossing the strip but neither worked for me, so a plain strip it is. Popped up the main image for some dimension.
The hardest part was deciding how to use the final image on a card.

The first thought that came to mind was 4th of July. Reminds me of right after the pop of the fireworks and the smoke floating down. It's definitely a card that evokes thoughts of celebration. I'd say you executed the PTI challenge very well with this card design. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
