Today the Mix-Ability Challenge is to step outside your comfort zone and create some art using at least two color mediums.
Digging through my stamps I found the first stamp I ever bought and decided to go with that.
I used Distress ink and sponged a background.
Then used a dot background stamp that I pressed into water That I had misted on my teflon mat then stamped over the sponged background.
Then I stamped and embossed the sun....
a happy mistake happened when some of the embossing powder stuck to the sponged background but not to the water spots...go figure that one out!
The edge got torn because of course I got ink from the sentiment stamp on there and had to tear it off!

WOW!! I LOVE this! The sponged and accidentally embossed BG is gorgeous! Love the dots and sun and IMO the torn edge just made the card! It's really wonderful!

Regardless of how the edge got "fixed", I love the tearing, and I seldom like that!! This is so beautiful...I think it should be framed. If you don't want to frame it, send it to me, and I'll frame it in my craft room (next to one from Mothermark, One4Joy, and 2 from Amaranthine!!).

What a fab "fix" of the smudge. I seldom like a torn edge, but this really works. I hope you will frame this beauty.....it sure deserves it!! (If you don't want to, you can always send it to me. I have framed pieces from Mothermark, One4Joy, and 2 from Amaranthine gracing my craftroom walls!!)
