Having just returned from vacation, I needed to get on the stick to create a Mother's Day card for my VERY special aunt.
Firstly, thank you, Korin, for asking me to join your team for the next couple of months. I'm a little late this week, but will be better in weeks to come. : ) Love the simple sketch for this week
Vicki chose the following colors for the CC:
Cameo Coral
Primrose Petals
White
I don't have Cameo Coral, so I used Calypso Coral instead.
Finally, Toni's WT was to use horses in honor of Derby Day in KY. I have no horse stamps and don't have the drawing talent of Mutnik(Cathy), so I used the theme of the race, "The Run for the Roses", for my card. Mine are white/ivory roses instead of the red roses the Kentucky Derby winners receive.
This is a card that I will have to send in a box.....you might know my parsimonious nature when it comes to postage on cards...but this Aunt is worth every penny! : )

It certainly works for me since I've had the song in my head since yesterday afternoon. Off now to google it, easier than pulling out our old LP.
And it's a great use of the sketch - I gave up on trying to get the sentiment element laid over the circle.

I hope you had a very restful, relaxing vacation, Sallie! And I agree with you on the postage for mailing. I was at the p.o. mailing a pkg and handed a card to the lady waiting on me. She told me it would cost extra. I said, "That's only a piece of twine!" Then I proceeded to take the card back, stick it in my mailbox for the mailman to take it the next day and then wait to see if it would return to me. Well, it never did! Ha I fixed her little red wagon! There have been several cards that have buttons, thick ties and other things on them, but now I just let the mailman pick them up, and they've NEVER come back to me yet! Tee Hee Now onto the card: your sponging and misting look fabulous! Beautiful delicate roses against a gorgeous flourish! Your sweet auntie will adore this creation~

A box will do the trick. I love your card with those beautiful roses (and anyone worth a card is also worth the extra postage, IMHO).
