I worked on this project for way longer than anyone should, but I wouldn't let it beat me. I started off with a page from an old dictionary, and gave it a good coat of gesso. Then I stamped the design using resist ink and then layered blue paint over it, and the images resisted and showed through
I added a few splatters and stamped my floral image and painted some orange onto the flower petals and heart.
The music heart was stamped onto sticky back canvas as sprayed with glimmer mist.
To grunge it up even more, I dry brushed some white paint around the edge of the card base and sloppily drew lines around the panel.
Not my favorite project, and I almost didn't post it because it's so-not-me, but since I worked so long on it, I felt justified. HA!

Ha, nowhere near ugly! This card is lovely. I love the background and those beautiful flowers.....a perfect splash of warm colour on the cool background.

I laughed when you said something in your post about ugliest card ever - I have a few of those myself. But this definitely does NOT fall into that category! I really like this- the background is terrific, love the flowers, and stamping the heart on canvas was a great way to add another medium! Great card!

Great work, Great card. Love.
Sometimes when we work so close to a project, and for a long time, we become unsure of it's stamp/art worthiness! I am so glad you posted this...it is a work of art! It is also a work of growth...working out of our comfort zone and then posting it!!!! Wow...Good for you! Now we all get to enjoy it! tfs
