This is for Color Challenge 422. The only substitution I made was to use Plum Pudding for Elegant Eggplant. And of course I added a bit of yellow hemp twine.
Dessert was to use text. I used a strip of my Newsprint stamp behind the focal image, and then tied it in with the sentiment in the speech bubble. News? Get it? Ah, well, I tried.
This combo was not the easiest for me. And I got all the way done and the card still felt like it needed something along the top. I kept trying different things, and was going to give up, when I spied a tiny scrap lying on the floor under the table where my Big Shot sits. It was perfect! I merely had to cut a tiny bit off either end and it settled right into its predestined spot. I love when that kind of thing happens!
