I made another for today's inspiration challenge. I had been on a thread talking about graduation cards and people were talking about non-traditional cards for girl graduates. My DS has some friends graduating along with him and I'm stocking up now for their May graduation. Today's site Windsor had lots of pretty dresses to choose from. This card is mainly inspired by this dress but I really started with the background from this top picture in mind. So, I began by scoring a diamond pattern on my Whisper White piece-unfortunately, the black gems/pearls that I knew were in my stash were hiding from me :( but I will revisit this idea later. I punched a Pool Party circle and stretched a piece of lace over it to simulate the dress with its overlay. The dress had a glittery pattern so I added the second circle cut from a glitter dp. I stamped the sentiment onto glossy paper and die cut the banner. This is popped up with dimensionals. I loved the super-blingy necklace featured with the dress so I added a gem swirl and scallop. The dress had a great satin bow, but my satin ended up looking too heavy so I changed to this organdy. I cut another piece of white for the inside and scored a scallop on the bottom and added tiny gems.

Love the all the elegance and the colors are so pretty. I have little mischievous elves that hide things from me all the time. I bet they found their way to your house. Take it from me, they won't give those gems back unless you clean.
