What a great site for the challenge to-day. The dresses are all lovely but I must be getting old!! Some of them hardly have enough fabric to flag a train! Yes..definitely getting old! LOL I chose this dress as my inspiration http://www.windsorstore.com/Shop/All...Dress/p/152526 . The stamp set is from Close to my heart and this is the first time it has seen ink! Shame on me!! The vanilla background is a very old piece of construction paper that I found during one of my archaeological digs in my studio. The black and tan paisley is from Mikes and the ribbon is some antique seam binding I used in high school Home Economics class (also not just yesterday..or even the day before)!! LOL

Archaeological digs, construction paper, LOL. It makes a great background and I love that patchwork look flower.
And yes - some of those dresses WERE short, weren't they. Yikes - I've just remembered I have a maxi dress downstairs that I need to take up for somebody in work before Tuesday. Thanks (hmmm) for reminding me.

Your card has the warm cozy feel of a handmade quilt, Sue. The patterned flower and leaves with "stitching" remind me of an appliqued quilt. A delightful card.

Love the use of older things for your card inspired by definitely NEW and modern things-I'm with you-I wouldn't want my DD's to wear much of what was being sold, but it did make for fun inspiration!

I had to laugh at your comments about the skimpy dresses! I love the soft vintage look of your card, it definitely has a feel of fabric and the ribbon treatment is fabulous!

....archaeological dig....Har!!! I too was thinking about my age as I looked at the adorable dresses on this site, in that I would have to cut it in half, along with my weight to wear any of them....lol!!
Your card is just TOO pretty, Sue....love how you got the seam binding to look!

I had one of those digs last weekend in my studio and found all sorts of treasures ... love how you put yours to good use with this fantastic inspired card.

Nice card! Like the paisley frame and the pretty flower w/leaves. Reminds me of a Dresden quilt template. Yep, a lot of today's fashion doesn't leave much, if anything, to the imagination. I know that from seeing my pre-teen and teen cousins clothing and they're all "good" girls. Scary.
