I LOVE Bonnie's gorgeous trio of squares. Her coloring is amazing. I used basically the same layout. Although, her squares are direct on the one layer card. I used clossy paper for my squares and cut them to fill the card. I also changed the sentiment, but kept it red.
This card is also for the Free for all challenge of letting the sun shine. Wendy asked us to make a card with the sun or something inspired by the sun.
To make these tiles, I got a 12"x12" gloss paper out and began making my background. I used yellow ochre, burnt sienna, olive pastel, dark moss and periwinkle blue. I masked the sun and added additional color with Copic RV13 and R14.

Kathleen, I just LOVE this. It makes me think of summer holidays in Greece where the sun seems to set so much faster, and we've often watched it set over the sea just like this. TFS.

Kathleen, this sunset is Beautiful! I love the progression of the sun and the way your colors change! Beautiful! What a wonderful symapthy card this would make! Doing the sun in the opposite direction, would also be beautiful!
