Great to be able to play in the Mix-ability Challenge again - this week we were asked to use METAL.
I have quite a few male family members with birthdays in the coming weeks so have made mine a masculine card today. I glued a piece of foil to c/s, and ran through my Cuttlebug using a Mesh EF. Painted with a thin coat of Weathered Wood Distress Paint, lightly sanded, then added a light coat of Gesso. Another light sanding and my metal was ready. My main image is dp and I have distressed and inked each layer with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. Added my sentiment, sand netting ribbon & silver button.
Thank you so much for taking a look!

A great looking card, Sue and your foil panel really turned out beautifully. Love the effect you got with the technique. The silver button is a wonderful accent.

Your silver mesh bg turned out fab! I almost used that ef....it's a good one for this technique. I like your use of the netting ribbon..gives it a masculine feel and that dp image works out perfectly for a guy card.

Love the whole sepia tone of this, Sue! And that bit of sparkle in the frame of the focal image! That netting and the button are the perfect embellishments!

Beautiful card! Love the look of your foil. It's so much fun to see how everyone's foil has turned out! I am going to remember to use a similar EF next time I want a masculine card. Your card is fabulous!
