I designed this card for my next SU Hostess Club Party make and take.
I cut my main W White CS 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". I then trimmed the card front to 2 7/8" width.
I used my Sizzix Scallop Squares Duo
die to cut out a Raspberry Ripple 3" x 3" Square. Because my sentiment was not square, but 2" x 2 3/4" I just cut the scallop square down the middle and overlapped and glued each piece to make a perfect fit for the sentiment. My ribbon covers the tiny bit of cut line that you can see.
The butterflies were for a fun embellishment using my Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches.
This CAS card is a fun example of several different techniques and embellishments.
My card qualifies for TLC422 Monochromatic Madness perfect challenge for March Madness, which my DH and I watch faithfully :-)
Enjoy and Happy Stamping...

Lovely card Nancy. Really unique design. Love how you cut down the front and added your rectangle with the fabulous sentiment. Those three pearls are the PERFECT embellishment!

Great card, Nancy! Your girls will love it! Very creative solution to your sizing issue -- nobody would know it wasn't the perfect size if you didn't tell them. The sentiment is empowering and the butterflies oh-so-nice.

Wonderful design, Nancy! I love the cut back front panel, letting the decorated edge show and the pretty butterflies! The sentiment is so neat and the trio of pink pearls are the perfect accent!

Wonderful card--so much going on with it while still remaining CAS. Love your clever solution to hiding the cut marks on your scalloped square--and by your being undaunted when it didn't fit at first: a great example IRL of the sentiment!
