Janette (Blessingsx3) gave us such a wonderful sketch! There are so much GORGEOUS cards in that gallery and I can't wait to go check them out more closely! I followed the sketch very closely, except my horizontal strips may be a little thin. I used MME DP and chalked the edges. Then I added lots of Prima and punched flowers. I stamped the sentiment right on the DP die cut and realize it is a bit harder to read. But I decided to leave it.
This is also for Linda's (Holstein) Ways to Use it challenge. She asked us to use gingham. This was the perfect time to add the gingham brad for a flower center. It was a bit too pink to start out. I colored with R32 and then lightened with the blender marker. I added just a bit of chalk to the bottom of the brad too.
I am so appreciative of these challenges! They really do help me to learn, grow and try things I probably wouldn't. So Thank you to all the challenge hostesses!!! Thanks for taking a peek too!

Kathleen, your flowers and their brads look so pretty! I love all your happy colors and pretty floral dp! I can see the sentiment just fine from where I'm sitting; it says that you're thinking of me, right? Lol Beautiful sponging, and good for you to get more than one challenge in~

Oh my goodness, this is so sweet! I love that delicate dsp - reminds me of some wallpaper I used to have in our house, and the collection of flowers, complete with gingham center!

Kathleen you did a fantastic job with the challenges! I really liked the dp you used on your card and I think your horizontal panels were just right (I have a difficult time judging that at times too). And way to go with that gingham button! Don't you love it when a plan comes together!? Great card Kathleen.
