The Way To Use It challenge this week is to use gingham and IÂ’ve had this for years in the scrap file.
Copic color for the image: grass – YG03,05,06,07, eggs – Y13,17,19, YR02,12,15, R20,21,24, BV00,01,B000,02, bear – E29,33,35,37, bunny suit – C00,0,1, shading B0000,000, basket – E29,25,21
The card base was embossed using one of the thin folders from a Cuttlebug Just My Type set then I used three pieces of scrap paper and the EK Success Zig Zag punch to cover the seams. I also used the Scor-Pal to emboss a line between the paper and embossing.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting worked great to cut the borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting, I used a craft knife on this card. A tutorial video can be found on the company site. 1/16” and 1/8” rulers were used.
I used up some more scrap for the Argyle embossed panel and did a real thread stitch at the seam.
Both embossed panels were ink distressed using Stampin Up Apricot Appeal ink which is the cardstock color.
The flowers are cut with large and medium - EK Success punch, small – Fiskars border punch, centers Cuttlebug Tiny Tags, large black center – EK Success punch, small black center – unknown punch, leaves – freehand cut or Martha Stewart Branch punch. All flowers were embossed or debossed and the yellow ones were colored with Prismacolor pencils which I also used to add veins to some leaves. They were all attached with Aleene’s tacky glue or the Making Memories brad for the largest flower.

This is adorable....love the bear with the bunny ears. Your springy card with the gingham and roses looks great. Thanks for playing in the challenge today.
