For this week's sketch. The back panel was embossed with some strategically placed shims, and then scored. I used a bone folder over burlap to add a tiny bit of texture in the blank parts. Can you see the shadow of a cross behind the scripture?
This is a combination Easter and sympathy card. My sister recently died, and this will go to my niece, her daughter-- a reminder that we'll see those we love again, thanks to Easter.

The cross behind the scripture is so elegant! I can tell this was a work of love! The texture you achieved with the burlap and bone folder is lovely. Gorgeous card! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

So love the simplicity of your card. My deepest sympathy for the loss of your sister. This card will be a great comfort for your niece. It's most evident that it was made from the heart.
