Trudy gave us a fun MIX challenge! She asked us to Rip It, Paste It, Ink It! I am glad she mentioned that it didn't have to be a card, because I haven't made a tag in quite a while.
So here is my torn desert. I like the idea of making a scene with torn paper and I used that technique to make a beach seascape last year. So this time, why not heat things up, especially since it is still cold out!
I adhered all my layers with Mod Podge. The stamps are the sun with a cloud, the flowering cactus and the rocks with a little grass. The Saguaro cactus was just hand cut and shaded a little with copics. I punched out the flowers and adhered them with the tiny Zots and curled the edges up. I chalked all the edges with dark brown. The yarn/fiber was given to me by my LSS as they celebrated their 5th anniversary.
Fun challenge Trudy! Thanks so much for taking a peek!

Great construction of this scene Kathleen. The papers work great as desert, mountains and sky! Love your cacti - both kinds. A terrific tag. I think I've only made two or three tags in all the time I've been stamping. Maybe I need to be inspired by your tag and get busy! TFS friend.
