This is for The MIX8 Mixability Challenge. The challenge was to use torn DP. For me this was extra fun, since I make all my own DP. The Base BG was a wrinkle-free distress piece, and the gray piece at the side was left over from a card a made for my son's birthday last year. I used my Crafters Workshop harlequin stencil to add triangles to the base BG in Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, and ripped an emboss-resist piece that I hadn't been quite happy with for the card I originally intended it for into some strips. A bit of of a leftover scrap from a musical BG runs along the top. Then, to "connect" it all I used white pigment ink, smeared on with a cotton swab and some "stitching" along the side using a white gel pen. I knew I wanted to use my Flaming Heart stamp as a focal image for this card, and the appropriate sentiment came to mind immediately. To make it all pop, I mounted it on PTI's Hawaian Shores CS.
Loved this challenge!
Thanks for looking!
