Vicky gave us three shades of blue for this week's colour challenge: Baja Breeze, Marina Mist, and Midnight Muse, with bling for dessert. I decided to do some sponging and collage stamping with these colours, and wanted to use this Ancient Lady stamp from Lost Coast Designs. She's got quite a mysterious air about her, and I thought shades of blue would compliment her.
I made the background panel by sponging inks and stamping various stamps- you can't really see it in the photo but there's a lot of subtle pattern from the Medallion cover-a-card stamp and a bit of text in the upper right corner... I sponged over that in most areas, maybe a bit too much, and added the silhouette leaves in Night of Navy (I don't have Midnight Muse), and the Medallion bg stamp in Whisper White. I stamped the lady on another piece of white paper that I sponged with inks first, trimmed it and mounted it on some more white cardstock. I added a hole reinforcement that I diecut from a PTI tag die, tied some distressed Baja Breeze seam binding to the hole, and then gave the lady some jewelry. I had some rhinestone swirls that are kind of aqua in colour but pretty close to Baja Breeze, and I put a pearl in the centre. For a finishing touch, I diecut a little corner flourish from silver glimmer paper and adhered it under the tag.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with for this challenge! I'm so enjoying being a guest on the colour challenge team, and can't believe there's only one more week after this... it's gone by so quickly!

I love the use of tags on cards and this is fabulous! Your mysterious lady stamp is awesome (love Lost Coast) with her jeweled necklace. The subtle bg stamps used are a wonderful compliment to the woman image. The silver corner flourish adds a bit of interest to complete this artistic card...what a creative design Anna!
