This was so-o much fun...reminds me of stomping in mud puddles as a child! I recently made several cards with various flicks of paint/ink so I experimented until I came up with something I hadn't tried before.
Creating a splattering with a sponge top stain requires some direct force of hitting the the paper with the sponge top. While one can control the area of the hit...the splatter is total free-form. This flower stamp has a lot of rubber surface making it a good candidate for applying stain. Blotting may be necessary if too much stain is transferred to the paper. Heat set each inking prior to adding more ink.
I had no issues with the dabbers but would encourage others to use this technique with caution since the force used to create these splatters could perhaps cause damage to the bottle and or the sponge top.
I had so much fun I know I will be making more with this method!
