Hi there teapotters! This is what I made for this week's Teapot Tuesday recipient, Linda (zgirlsgranny)
This is my story!
1. I am so impressed with Linda's many amazing talents. All her hobbies and skills! Geeze, she even does wood-working, big time!
2. So, in honor of Linda and her woodworking, I was determined to make my own project outa wood. So, I pulled out the skill saw, the jig saw, the wood glue, my hammer with little flowers on it, sand paper, chisel and lathe.....
3. After wondering how and what you do with all that equipment and realizing its sorta bulky for my stamp room, I found a little basket of 42,000 wood cut-outs happily purchased throughout the last 42,000 years and proceeded to cover a few of them up with pretty paper!
4. Whoot! Made a woodworking project and don't have to file a workman's comp claim against my hubby for an injury that surely would have happened.....Snort! You go girl! Linda, I am talking to you! Giggle!
5. So, here's to Linda, here's to you and your amazing talents. Here's to you and your battle with cancer and here's to you beating this thing and getting back to the teaparties with your friends! We have missed you!
My thoughts and prayers are with you!

What a perfect door hanger, Cindy - pretty, feminine, floral and wood, what more could you want! Injury-free, too!I always remember my brother got a beautiful sweater I'd knit him caught in a lathe - it was totally mangled. And it was the second one I'd knit him because my mother had put the first one in a hot wash and it came out teddy-bear sized. I knit him a third one out of cheap yarn from our equivalent of a dollar store, and it was accident-free. Go figure!!

Cindy - we can always count on you for a fun story to produce a smile, and a great card to fit the occasion to a T (or is that tea?). I should say that your creativity inspires, but I know that as lovely as this is, I could not in 42,000 years succeed in doing one like it.

I love this beautiful door hanger, Cindy! What a delightful decoration for Linda, and so clever of you! Glad you went with supplies on hand, we don't want to hear of missing digits!
Hey Mudder No flinging such a pretty doorhanger at Sherman Potter! Very nice keepsake for Linda. I can tell the EMT's to stand down as you put away the power tools.

Oh, my, Cindy you had me going! I thought you were another woodworking girl! Ha ha I would be the same way with those electric tools! Yikes, blood splatting everywhere......Anyhow, your doorhanger is so amazing! I love what you did with those cutouts, such pretty flowers and her name is on it so nobody can take it away! Great idea~

Cindy, I totally LOVE those beautiful paper-covered wood flowers & my very special "L". It's perfect - I love flowers, I love wood, & I love you! I'm so glad you were able to pull out all those tools to make this one of a kind project - tee hee... you continue to amuse me with your comments. I can't wait for the time when we can make our return debut to the Teapot Parties! Thanks so much... I love you...
