 | | Today's Ways to Use it challenge posed a knotty question to use a knot of some kind on our projects. I had this piece of knotted twine sitting on one of the shelves in my stamp room, so the challenge for me was to figure out how to use it on a card. I did another sample card remake. I found a card using this main image and greeting from the retired Wanted set. I did some shading on the greeting and horse image and created a shadow under the horse to ground it. The original sample used the creamy caramel cards stock so at first, I tried to find some background paper that would work and failed miserably. So I created my own. I took a piece of creamy Caramel cs and wheel the Dry Brush jumbo wheel in Ruby Red ink. I then used the Sanded background stamp in Chocolate Chip ink over this. Then I wheeled the edges with the Rough Texture Wheel.
I stamped the corrugated piece with the Sanded background stamp in Creamy Caramel ink and then after running it through the crimper, I brushed the Ruby Red pad over the high spots. I layered everything using this week's sketch challenge and then added some buttons and my knotted twine. |
