 | | Trish asked me to be the guest designer for this week's Queen for the Day challenge to honor our Queen scoostv/Rita. She has a great gallery and I hope you'll check it out! I'm CASE-ing this pretty Fall card from our queen's gallery. I loved the layout with the die cut leaf cut into parts and the added detail of the embossing on the strip with the ribbon. I recently purchased the SU Borders Simply Scoring Plate and the Secret Garden Framelits dies and used those to replicate those details. I love to use this muted color palette color combo for sympathy cards. I die cut my leaves in Always Artichoke then inked up my Canvas bg and added some texture to the leaves that way as well as sponging the edges. I used the Borders scoring plate the add the detail to my River Rock Strip. I stamped my sentiment in Artichoke onto Natural Ivory paper. I sponged some Soft Suede around the edges of the card. I decided to add a knot in my ribbon in honor of today's Ways to Use It Challenge to add knots to our cards. In the front card I used Always Artichoke grosgrain and slid a piece of angle-cut ribbon into the knot. On the rear card I used River Rock stitched ribbon with just the knot. |
