With this week's springy colours (Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, and Certainly Celery) I suddenly realized that I hadn't made any Easter cards yet, and it's only a couple of weeks away. So I came up with a little treat box containing six little 2 1/2" square cards featuring some of the critters from the Storybook Friends set (thereby adding the dessert option.)
The box is made from the Fancy Favors die, and stamped with a polka dot bg stamp in white craft ink. I attached two large eyelets to either side and tied some striped Daffodil Delight ribbon through them for a handle. I die-cut a circle tag, stamped and sponged it, and attached it to the ribbon handle with some raffia. I die-cut a couple of shapes from the Nesties Labels 2 set, one in celery and one in white, and stamped the lamb and flourishes onto the white diecut. I adhered that piece and the celery piece together onto the box with foam squares.
The set of cards was made very easily by adhering some dsp and solid cs strips to the cardfronts, followed by watercoloured diecuts featuring the duck, bunny, and lamb from Storybook Friends.
I'm glad we get to work with these bright sunny colours this week- now I feel more optimistic that spring is approaching!
