How long has it been since you have used eyelets? It had been a while for me. Charlene Merrick gave the challenge this week at CCEE Stampers to use eyelets on our cards. http://cceestampers.blogspot.com/
I've used three eyelets, the two yellow and the orange one at the top that looks like a brad. I should have used one where I ran my raffia through, but forgot.
I used burlap and smeared on some Liquitex Modeling Paste for interest. I rather like it.
I found it to be so much fun to get out oldies and my tool which this time was the Cropodile..another tool I don't use much.

Oh, how cheery and fun Benz. Yep, that ole cropodile hasn't come out in awhile. I used to love eyelets, but now they are a pain in the you know what! But, it's good to get old things out once in awhile especially for you - catch my drift????? Great job!

OMG! I must be hungry...the burlap piece reminded me of a frosted mini wheat at first glance...but I love the look and texture it added to your card! Have lots of eyelets...haven't used them in a long time...maybe soon?

LOL!!! Benzi, I look at my eyelets from time to time, I look at my watchacallit eyelet tool/machine thingy, and the next thing I know I've moved on the brads or something else LOL!!! But honestly, now that I see them on your project, they really do add interest!! Love your cute creation !
Hugs,
Audrey

Oh my goodness you mixed media Queen you. I just bought some modeling paste myself this weekend. I am ready to get messy in the craft room. I love how this looks on the burlap. What a great looking card.
