I needed a thank you card for a lady who is going to be a guest speaker tonight at my boy's scout meeting. I don't have a lot of fancy dies. It think if I did I might like this technique a lot better. I went with the little square with postage stamp edges that came with my cuttlebug. I embossed MFP-CRACKED HELLO onto a page from my old encyclopedia. I cut the square out. I masked the edges of the square with tape. I watercolored the embossed page and square. When I was done, the little edges of the square were not wanting to match up well with the background the page had warped slightly because of the watercoloring. So I added a little square of white cardstock behind it. so I hope that doesn't get the challenge police after me. I added a MFP hummingbird (HUM ALONG)quiled flowers, floral filler, and a ribbon. I sewed the card together using a zig zag stitch. I watercolored a piece of white cardstock for the sentiment which is from another MFP set.called Welcome Poppies.
