 | | This card is for LOVEFEST2013G, Make My Day, to create a card to show love and support.
This card will be given to a very special teacher I work with. She is totally committed to her students and our school district. She is a UIL sponsor for at least two events each year, and for years was responsible for publishing the school newspaper.
I've wanted to make a card for her for a couple of weeks, because she recently found out that her husband has cancer. She was devastated, shocked, angry and disbelieving at first. But the doctors at MD Anderson are cautiously hopeful of a good prognosis, and she is accepting the fact that her life has forever changed, regardless of what the future holds. I think of her daily, and wanted her to know that.
The image was created using the VersaMark resist techique. I'm sorry I don't know the name of the stamp, I borrowed it at a recent crop. The sentiment is heat embossed; the image framed with glossy black cardstock cut with a Lifestyle Crafts die; butterfly is MS punch.
