This simple one-layer card went through several changes. I wanted to stamp the trunk on the card base then stamp the treetop on bright dp, but I had trouble lining up the tree and it just didn't look good to me. Then I was going to do a multicolor treetop, but that wouldn't work for me either. So I just inked up the treetop in green and used a marker for the trunk. I started with just a little grass but kept adding more. I stamped the sentiment in the same green as the treetop. But when I looked at the card, I thought it needed something else. (I am a bit white-space phobic, you know). A friend was here stamping with me and she suggested clouds. Duh! So it's a simple card that took a long journey. I made 8 of these for the Card Ministry.

I am white space phobic too! Definitely can relate and I agree, the clouds finished it off perfectly. Cute card Val and I did smile at your description!
