I'm submitting this card for the Love Fest Challenge - Die Crazy.
After four days of snowblowing, shoveling and raking the roof of 30" of snow from the Blizzard of 2013, "Nemo", my DH and I were too tired to do much of anything to celebrate Valentine's day except stay home, stay warm and watch a movie together. I thought this Valentine would be a reminder of what we shared.
I used Memory Box's Country Landscape twice on this card. The first cut has bits of gray paper behind the windows and doors to indicate "lights out". On the second one I cut off all the little houses and trees, reversed the diecut of the hills, and used foam adhesive to position it on the scene. I used a punch to create a negative space in the dark blue cardstock to indicate the moon, sponged a little white pigment ink around it and slipped it in behind the diecut. I hand drew two little hearts (hard to see) over a house and added a clear gloss over them. Glitter glue was applied over the edges of the hills, the houses and the trees for a little sparkle. I also randomly dotted the sky with a Spica glitter pen for the stars. The panel was then popped up on the cardbase with foam adhesive for lots of dimension. I drew inspiration for my card from Jenny of Crafting in the Country.
Thanks so much for looking and I hope my card helps to inspire you to create a card.
