Have had one of those days, I mean WEEKS!!! Hopefully next week will be MUCH better. ANYWAY, I needed to de-stress big time so here is what I did. I made this card for three challenges once again.....details...
First off, this is for the QFTD challenge where Mary, aka octoberbabe is our new queen. I cased this card loosely, I might add. Changed her sentiment into a chubby bee. Mary you have a fabulous gallery. Enjoy your reign!
Second this is for the F4A challenge. I chose to use bright colors because they just make me happy! My bg was made using my new gelli plate which I am loving!!! It is just so cool and tons of fun. For extra points we were to put a bee on our cards.
I had a large Plum Purdy bee stamp that I put on shrinky dink paper and shrunk him down. Fits perfectly on my card. hehe
Third, finally, this is for the MIX challenge, which I am really enjoying. I have been drawn to the Mixed Media so this challenge was right up my alley. Today we were to use script of some kind and the color red.
I put tape on a page in the phone book and ripped it off taking the script with it. Then I glued the tape on scraps of red gelli printed paper.
I made my flower out of newspaper, more script, sponging different reds on it.
Well, I feel much better. Hope you enjoy my card. Have a great weekend!....TFL :0)

So glad you feel much better, it's always good to de-stress. I have to admit that this card looks very different from your usual style, it's so nice to play with new toys and experiment. I like the bright colors~

Yes, we did case the same card and I am wishing I had used bright, cheerful colors. I know they would have made me happier. I love how you got the text on that tape and your bee is so cute. Great flower, too. It's a fun card all around.

Cathy, thank you so much for playing along today. I'm sorry you had a lousy week. But creating a card always helps me too!! Your card is SO vibrant. I love all the orange. I like the script dp you used for the strips. I get this funky collage feel for your card. Cool!!!!! Hope your days ahead are better then the ones just past. Hugs!!

So cool Cathy! I have been meaning to try those Mixed Media challenges, they do look FUN! Your card is such a wonderful mix of shapes and patterns! I love how your bee turned out! It looks like a Tiger Bee to me! Awesome use of the strips of phone book pages too! And, what amazing color!!! Fantastic card!
