I've combined the MIX3 challenge with the F4A challenge to use our happy colour. I don't, typically, use a lot of red on my cards but by a mile it's the dominant colour in my wardrobe - skirts, dresses, coats and jackets, sweaters...today I have on a red handknit sweater and red suede hiking boots .
A2 base.
White Bazzill had the aperture cut before embossing with Provocraft Script ef, then I distressed the edges. Under it is a book page with a square aperture, painted with red H2Os.
Image panel is a HA script stamp stamped with Memories Soft Grey, Baroque Motifs with stamped-off Versafine Smokey Grey, and the French Foliage splash with Fired Brick distress ink. PSX music notes...
I popped the front up over this on foam tape.
The bird is cut from a scrap of gessoed book page left from Monday. I used Versamark and sprinkled some Perfect Pearls over along with UTEE. After the third layer of UTEE, I rubbed in some luster rub-ons and melted it again. Liquid Pearls for the beak and eyes.
I hope to have time to use a poppy tomorrow - my current screensaver is a summer photo of a poppy, and nothing, to me, says red like that!!

Love that sweet bird, and how you wove in all the text. I even see the music notes as "text" -- because that is how birds talk. Sweet card. I love poppy too. I have a busy weekend planned, not sure I will get back right away to see your creation but I am sure it will be creative like always
