I wanted to make this card all weekend and even though we had Monday off, I just couldn't get any crafting time. So frustrating! Anyway, I got the bits and pieces together and can finally post this for Saturday's inspiration challenge. The UK site "Angel At My Table" is full of all kinds of gorgeous stuff, but I chose these cute little songbird note paper bird clips as the theme for this card: http://www.anangelatmytable.com/song...ips-6783-p.asp
I painted the birdcage diecut with silver acrylic paint, then with some white crackle paint in a few spots to give it a vintage look. I had a scrap of white paper that I had stamped on in Pool Party ink, then on one part of it i stamped some music and on another I stuck a piece of Tim Holtz tissue tape. Then I diecut a couple of birds out of that paper and sponged the edges. I embossed the background behind the birdcage with the Lacy Brocade ef, and sponged it lightly with Basic Grey ink to echo the patina look of the birdcage. Added some homemade patterned paper, some pleated ribbon, a couple of buttons and a felt rose. It was a bit tricky cutting the foam stickers to size, but I managed to pop up the birdcage with some of those, as well as the panel behind it.

Wow, just beautiful! So much detail to take in. I love the tiny birds and how you stamped them. The little tags and buttons are great adornments too. And that's a very neat finish you gave the birdcage! A wonderful card.

I love the way you made the emboss bg look like an aged tile. So clever and your birds and cage are just a beautiful!
