Trying to perfect the chalkboard technique. This time I embossed w white so it turned out much better. I used a white pencil to doodle around the letters a bit. I pulled out my old favorite swirls from Baroque Motifs. Thanks for looking.
I got a message asking for some more details about this card. I was inspired by a similar style of card I received from my talented friend, Karen. So I'm not sure what this fold is called. I cut the base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. I scored it at 2 inches and 3 inches, turned the cs around and did the same scoring on the other side. First fold turns up the second score line is folded downwards. Repeat on the remaining side. The center is a SU die cut nested. I used the chalkboard technique. I embossed in white, then rubbed some white craft ink around to look like chalk dust. I also took a white Prismacolor pencil and doodled around some of the letters, creating a little shadow. I'd advise stamping on the base prior to scoring and folding for best results. Of course you could use DSP instead.
