This is for QFTD150 Beate - who hasn't admired her gallery; it's so inspiring? I chose this beautiful card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...amp;ppuser=458

This is also for the first mixed media challenge, MIX1. The challenge was to mix a matte finish with a shiny finish. I used embossing powder on the dandelion. I used matte chalks for the BG. Then I hair sprayed it to set the chalks. I then dusted a pearlescent white chalk over the dandelion.

I chose the dandelion because of the IC374 challenge in which there were a number of gorgeous items that used dandelions. Here is one such item: http://www.etsy.com/listing/10332490...antique-style?
