 | | I made this card a couple of weeks ago and never got it uploaded. It was a thank you card, but I did not put a sentiment on the outside. This was for the All Occasion Card Challenge on January 15.....to try a tutorial you haven't tried before. I tried Beate's tutorial on Ghosting (or Versamark resist). I inked the Penny Black image with Versamark and stamped it, then I immediately inked the image with black Memento ink and stamped slightly off the first stamping. Then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heated. Then I sponged Ranger Distress ink colours over the image. I die cut the image and then used a number of die cuts to embellish the card, attempting to try the more elaborate styles that I admire so much, but doesn't seem to work as well for me. I used a patterned paper that I have had for a long time and also die cut that paper to make rolled roses too. The butterfly was a piece of parchment paper left over after die cutting cardstock butterflies. I put the parchment paper between the die and cardstock to make the intricate dies come free of the cardstock and the tiny pieces come out of the die cut. |
