Frances is our hostess with plenty of fun ideas and challenges for the CCEE Stampers for February.
Apparently the 5th February was Weatherperson's Day, so our challenge this week is to create a card that features some sort of weather - sun, clouds, rain, snow etc.
Our weather service announced that here in Dublin we had the greyest January with the least amount of sunshine since 1964, and the most number of rainy days since 1980, so this Penny Black bear seems to be pretty appropriate!
Sunshine in the Rain (we had 25 hours of sunshine for ALL of January) stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks; frayed burlap, brushed corduroy, vintage photo, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, scattered straw, forest moss, stormy sky, mowed lawn, festive berries, tattered rose, soot black. I added Glossy Accents to his lovely red wellingtons, and used silver Stickles for rain.
To finish it off - corner rounder, distressing, chipped sapphire to sponge edges. Paper is BG Lime Rickey, I used MFT's Jumbo Scallops and added some blue rhinestones.
Card is 5 3/4" square.
Follow the link at the top of my write-up to see what weather the rest of the team has to share, and to be inspired to be your own weather-person .

The minute I saw the drenched little bear I felt an affinity. We just came back from a walk with our dog and he now looks like a wet little bear. Same weather - different country. There's good reason we're known as Raincouver. You did an amazing job colouring this cutie. Fabulous Sabrina.

So sweet, the duck with the little flower. I guess the rain does bring those wonderful flowers. Like you, we have suffered through so much rain this winter...and clouds. How depressing!!!! Fortunately, we have had 2-3 days of beautiful sunshine this week. I can't tell you how wonderful it has been.
I love the colors you used on this image...great job, too.

Sabrina,
I love this image - the little duck is so sweet! Your card is lovely and Ilike the punched border on the right! What a gloomy January you've had - here's hoping your February is better!

That's a lot of rain! We're under a winter storm warning with the possibility of receiving 6-12 inches of snow. I am so hoping the weather forecaster is wrong!
Awwwwwdorable image and your coloring is wonderful! Love his Wellington boots. Sweet card, Sabrina.
