Started with a piece of cardboard from a coke box. Added distress stains as follows:
vintage photo, pine needles, tarnished brass, picket fence - in that order, drying between layers.
Then added Distress Crackle Paint and allowed to dry completely.
Then added Acrylic Paint Dabber in Snow Cap. Allowed to dry completely.
Wasn't happy with the result, so added another layer of Distress Crackle Paint, and left that to dry overnight.
Then.... scrunched and folded, then lightly sanded until it REALLY looked old.
The background was done with the Walcott technique about 3/4's of the way down the page, and finished off with Year of Borders (in sepia ink). I used the following distress inks for the background:
Walnut stain, Antique Linen, Old Paper, Bundled Sage.
The lace was from my stash - soaked it in coffee to give it an aged appearance.
Flowers/leaves from Gina K Dogwood & Butterfly. Stamped out the flowers on the leftover paper from my other vintage card. Used the 'brick' background, then distressed. After stamping, I sponged with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink for the flowers, and Evergreen Bough for the leaves. (The leaves are from the larger flower in the set, the flowers from the smaller one.) Star Dust Stickles here and there to give it some sparkle.
The black 'frame' was made with a Spellbinders tag that I then cut to suit.
Like I said - a lot of work!
