 | | This card is for the new Mix challenge on Splitcoast, which I think is awesomely, awesomely, awesomely, awesome!!!!!! This is for Mix1 - Yin and Yang. I used matte and shiny mediums on here : I used gesso for the matte and I used dazzling diamonds glitter for the shiny. This also ties to the Yin Yang theme because while it looks like a joyful card, in fact it is for my mom who is in the hospital right now. I'm in California, she is in Chicago, and I love her so so much.
I wanted my first challenge entry to be done with SUO (Stampin' Up Only) to show that it can be done :) The gesso is not SU! but SU! doesn't sell gesso so that's ok. Everything is current except one button.
Cardstock: Rose Red coordinations
DSP: Current valentine dsp
Embellies: Lace washi tape, the ribbon backing from the lace in the embellishment kit in the current mini, many little misc items from the embellishment kit (lace, ticket, more lace, buttons, doily).
Tools: Special paint brush to get the gesso effect, distress tool to get the distressed edges, sander to get the tone showing through on the coordinations layer, SU! cutting tool.
This also qualifies for cute Valentine F4A154, and the basis of the sktech was definitely the sketch challenge from a week or so ago SC420.
