After I'd made my card for the color challenge yesterday I had the thought of using this cool button treatment that I'd seen on Dini's awesome card as I'd passed by some pretty blue buttons in my stash recently. Unfortunately, the buttons weren't the right shade of blue and most of my bigger buttons only have 2 holes where this technique needs 4. So, though I used buttons on all the strands of twine, I ended up covering the white buttons with paper flowers. When I saw today's sketch, I thought I could do a scaled down version with the buttons treatment I already had in mind. My sentiment panel is a piece I stole off a Christmas card. I covered the mid-section with a piece of Limeade with the ends notched. I stamped my sentiment in Indigo on Whisper White and used the word window punch. I left off the bottom circle embellishments and top banners since I'd added so much already to the left panel. I was also influenced by the clean lines and shaped tag of Marleygo's card today. I also rounded some corners for added interest.
*I finally started a blog today and added a quick tutorial with pictures on how to do the button treatment. gailepark.blogspot.com

A great take on the sketch, Gail! I like the combination of the buttons and flowers - they look well balanced even though it wasn't what you planned at the start.
Nope, not much sun here! It breaks through occasionally, but never for long. And never when I need it to take a photo...
