This is my last week as a guest with the lovely and talented ODBD challenge design team; I was so blessed by the opportunity to work with them in January. The last challenge was to use red, white and pink and feature hearts. It's here on the Our Daily Bread Designs blog, where you can see full details of the challenge and all the other gorgeous creations
I used the Be Joyful set for my card. Ever since I first saw it, it made me think of needlework and embroidery, so I started off by making a faux silk background using pink tissue stamped with the smaller flower image in Brilliance Rocket Red. I was afraid that the spray-mount I'd used to stick the tissue to white card might gunk up the machine needle so I hand-stitched a red floss border. I think I didn't need to, but at least it matches the blanket stitching on my heart. The heart is the large flower stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine and coloured with Festive Berries and Shabby Shutters, decorated with pearls.
Cut in a heart shape and blanket-stitched the edges with pink cotton floss.
The A2 base is MB Cranberry. I decorated the faux silk panel with Cuttebug Vintage Corners cut from red Bazzill, and pearls. The sentiment is also from the Be Joyful set, cut with Spellbinders Tags Trio, edges sponged with Festive Berries and tied with red organza ribbon. Image and sentiment popped up on foam.

I'm so impressed when someone does stitching on their cards and yours is amazing - especially the blanket stitching! Love the warm cozy feeling yours invokes.

Wow Sabrina - you've out done yourself here!! It's one of the most beautiful cards I've seen using this stamp. Your faux silk technique is amazing, your heart is just breathtaking, and all your hand-stitching shows that all your heart and lots of love went into creation. I'm so glad you joined us this month - it was a blessing to get to know you a little better! We'll have to stay in touch .
Hugs,
Audrey
