MIX2 - Damask Resist Detail
Added to Favorite
xxxx

Photo Details
Poster: dini

I always keep a piece of cardstock under my work when I stamp or paint, so that whatever goes over the edge doesn't end up on my desk - when that cardstock gets all filled up with ink and paint, it becomes the base of other mixed media projects! It's a fun way to recycle, and it's an easy start for something new.

My background panel is one of those pieces. I embossed my favorite Cover-a-Card Damask background over the panel and embossed with clear powder, then rubbed dye ink over the panel for more contrast. This is a modification of the Joseph's Coat technique (click HERE for a tutorial!)

My main panel is colored with reinkers, Shinhan watercolors, Touch Markers, and Inktense pencils. The brush markers make a great base color for the narrow stem and leaves, and the other mediums are all waterbased, so they play together well.

Check the Mix-Ability Challenge Forum for all the challenge details!

So cool. I love how you recycle these pieces. I always use a piece of discarded computer paper, and often see great patterns and results. I've got to start using cardstock instead!

Beautifully created BG, and a great way to showcase it with the flower in the foreground1
