Yesterday was a sad day for our family. I had to put our older dog, Rosco down. His health had been failing him and it was time. Dang those pets! I get so attached to them and it just breaks my heart!
So today I made him a card, "thought of you today". I will be thinking of him for several days as I miss him a bunch.
Good thing DD got us Dusty Dog. Even though he misses him too, at least he is keeping us busy.....by peeing on the floor AFTER he has been taken out! Who said potty training was easy??? Not me!
I used a bg I made with my gelli plate, then doodled on it. Also ran it through the cb. The calendar day was made on the computer, sentiment hand written. My Rosco dog was made with circle punches, ears hand drawn, color sponged on.
If you have a pet, go give him or her a great big HUG!......for Rosco and me. .....TFL :0)

Big hugs from me. Our fur family friend who has been with us almost exactly 14 years has been failing a lot. We had planned to put him down today but then my husband had to go out of town so it has been postponed a couple of days. Such a hard decision to make. Your card in memory of your fur family friend is really cute. I like how you added the date and the little smiley face.

Oh no, I remember you talking about Rosco. I'm so sorry and know the pain. But, your card is such a sweet one. The bg is super and I love the calendar and doggie.

Aww, I am so so sorry Kathy :( They are a big part of our lives and our families. So glad you made this adorable little doggie card to honor Rosco! He obviously was quite the looker!!! Looks like he has all the green grass to run through he could ever want! You background with all the green is awesome! The doodles make it a Mutnik original! Hope you have a special place to save this with your favorite photos of Rosco!

I'm so, so sorry Cathy. I know how that breaks your heart as I too have gone through it. I will try to remember you in my prayers. It is a good thing to have another dog, although they don't really replace the previous one. I think it is very therapeutic to make a card honoring your Rosco. Your card is beautiful too. Blessings and hugs to you.

Cathy I am so sorry to hear about your dog! I know how hard it is and how heartbreaking. I had a lab that was my baby of 15 1/2 years and it was the hardest decision I had to make but it was much better for him. I still miss him and it has been some time. Your card is a wonderful tribute.
